About the opportunity

As a Test Analyst at NSW SES you will play a key role in ensuring the development of high-quality systems that meet business and operational needs. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate and execute comprehensive testing activities, including writing and executing test cases, managing defects, and analysing systems to identify gaps in software and processes. Working closely with both the ICT teams and the Operational Systems Program, you will partner with developers and business analysts to ensure that testing aligns with project objectives and quality assurance standards. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant ICT projects that directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate proven experience in coordinating and executing functional and non-functional tests, including debugging and refactoring test code.
  • Have experience managing defects, measuring and reporting on test activities, and providing actionable insights to developers and analysts to enhance system performance
  • Be skilled in analysing systems under test, identifying gaps in software and processes, and ensuring alignment with business and operational needs.
  • Ideally, have experience working within large-scale ICT projects, contributing to system enhancements and ensuring operational efficiency.
