Internet Service Provider iiNet has launched a range of 4G services and two 4G enabled devices as part of the company’s debut appearance on the high speed wireless stage.

The company, and two of its subsidiaries Westnet and Netspace, have launched a new standalone 4G package, along with two new devices, the iiNet MobiiHotspot 4G mobile wi-fi router, which can wirelessly share a 4G connection with as many as 10 devices, and the MobiiBroadband 4G, a portable USB modem for the 4G service.

The service will be provided over the Optus LTE Network, with iiNet Chief Product Officer, Steve Harley, saying the launch was a result of a strong consumer push.

“iiNet’s 4G services complement our core products, ADSL and fibre broadband, fixed line voice, mobile voice and data services, plus our great fetchtv IPTV service. As well as winning new customers, 4G will drive iiNet’s growth by increasing the number of products we sell each customer,” Mr Harley said.
