SA opens digital doors to better service
The Government of South Australia has made a bold move toward more open and transparent services, with a new website detailing what it offers and how it performs.
A new site - SA Performs – is aimed at showcasing the services provided by the South Australian Public Service, and how each agency is performing.
“We're committed to open, transparent Government,” Minister for the Public Sector, Susan Close said.
“Through SA Performs, people now have a single point of access to publicly available data about Government performance.”
Dr Close says the information on SA Performs is largely made of material that was already publicly available through government websites, such as data on government payments; information on the efficiency of Adelaide Metro's buses, trams and trains; road safety statistics; and, data on Adelaide's air quality.
“In addition, SA Performs features new data - including the number of visitors to sa.gov.au and information on Service SA's performance and customer satisfaction,” she said.
Dr Close said that, over time, more information on Government Agency performance would be added to the site.
“I'd encourage people to head to SA Performs to get a clearer picture of how the services that South Australians rely on are performing.”
