Local residents, community and business leaders and politicians all hoped that having their own football club could help bring a measure of pride to a downtrodden suburb.

In 2024, CFC is one of the great icons of Australian sport. Our history spans 130 years, 16 premierships and more finals appearances than any other club. Most importantly, Collingwood has grown from being a football club to a sports club with a commitment to our community.

The opportunity

The Level 1 IT Service Desk Technician will support our computer systems, both hardware and software, ensuring top performance for the Collingwood Football Club staff and athletes. You will be the first line of technical support to all end users of the organisation, fulfilling requests either from either our Service Desk ticketing system or in person. 

This is a staff facing, on-site role that will focus on customer satisfaction with a high level of communication required to ensure we understand what is required before promptly providing a resolution. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
• Managing daily tasks via the Service Desk ticketing system
• Primary point of contact for IT service jobs
• Escalation of service requests
• Manage the rollout of new users and equipment
• Installation of software to meet business needs
• Asset management
• Maintain IT documentation.
• Support in IT projects where applicable
• AV systems

About you

To be successful as the IT Service Desk Technician (Level 1), you will have:

• Thirst for knowledge and a passion to work in a high performance environment
• Inquisitive by nature and a desire to continue to think outside the box
• Can-do attitude 
• Some experience within IT service desk technician work and/or willingness to learn on the job

Key Experience & Qualifications

• Preferable higher-education qualification in IT, role would suit a recent graduate
• Knowledge in AFL desirable
