The Role
The Office of National Intelligence (ONI) is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated and experienced senior digital technology professional to join its new Digital and Data Division. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced technology leader to work at the leading edge of technological and data capabilities, help drive ONI’s digital transformation, and provide leadership of strategic initiatives across the National Intelligence Community (NIC).
The role will be a driving force behind ONI’s intelligence and digital strategy, shaping the development of technical capabilities and data initiatives. It demands a balance of visionary leadership and practical execution skills, with responsibilities including identifying and planning for ONI and the NIC’s future technology needs, strengthening ONI and the NIC’s data science capability, and delivering strategic whole-of-community collaboration and partnership. The successful candidate will harness cloud, data and AI to enable ONI and the NIC to effectively support Australia’s most critical national intelligence priorities.

Your extensive expertise will encompass strategic data and digital landscapes, demonstrated through the successful execution of complex data and technology projects and programs. You will have experience in identifying and acting on emerging digital and technological trends, opportunities and challenges, and commercial acumen honed through the delivery of technology solutions in government settings.
Your leadership skills, customer-focused approach, and excellent communication and representational skills underpin your ability to harness collaborative relationships and achieve outcomes.
