Tennis Australia is embarking on a phase of Digital Transformation, and as a result, an opportunity has emerged for a Data Analyst. The Digital Transformation Program will establish new digital experiences, foundational capabilities and strategic enablers. Unified Digital Experience will cover Web and Mobile Digital Presence for Tennis Australia. This digital experience will enhance how our customers find courts, coaches and tournaments, participate in Leagues and Tournaments, manage their rating and ranking, and administrators and deliverers who organise and deliver Tennis.

About the role

Join Tennis Australia as an experienced Data Analyst and help transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions. In this role, you'll utilise tools like SQL, Python/R, and Web Analytics to create reports and dashboards that inform stakeholders and executives. Collaborate closely with various teams to unlock the value of data and support a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

In this role, you will:

Data Analytics - Support the delivery of digital analytics, mapping, code/error management, and scripting to assist internal stakeholders and initiatives.

  • Understand the use of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Marketing Platform tools, SEO, web crawlers, and other resources that facilitate digital analytics.
  • Monitor, track, and develop dashboards and benchmark reports based on stakeholder requirements
  • Understand and establish data models that shape digital analytics capabilities.

Development of Customer Insights and Data Library -Develop tools and reports to monitor key performance indicators across the enterprise

  • Analyze customer data using cloud tools to create large data sets.
  • Generate and present fact-based customer and product performance insights to improve engagement and personalization models.
  • Combine data from various sources to generate insights.

Data Analysis - Improve decision-making by applying market knowledge to influence strategic direction.

  • Create advanced data models to solve complex issues and provide insightful analyses.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations, presenting information clearly and persuasively.

Customer Analytics, Marketing Automation and CRM - Utilize modern data science and machine learning techniques within a CRM context.

  • Create dashboards and reports to generate actionable insights.
  • Use analytics to enhance CRM marketing strategies, focusing on profitability, lifetime value, loyalty, and ROI.
  • Develop predictive capabilities for segmentation and modelling to improve customer retention and acquisition.
  • Design target groups for CRM campaigns and help the marketing team optimize testing by analysing campaign performance across customer segments.

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong capabilities in time management, planning, and prioritisation.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation, and presentation (such as SQL, web analytics tools, Python, data visualization, and web/app design and coding).
  • Ability to adapt to cloud technologies and systems for managing and manipulating data analytics across diverse channels.
  • Experience in database analysis and data extraction techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate and communicate data insights into actionable business recommendations for a diverse audience.
  • Proven experience in working to derive valuable insights, as well as visualizing these insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure while working in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • A strong curiosity to analyse data and translate findings into business insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrates initiative, recommends best practices, and determination to ensure the fulfilment of goals.
  • Effective collaboration within a team environment
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
