  • Drive NSW Health’s digital health agenda
  • Lead large scale critical digital health initiatives
  • Shape a transformative legacy in healthcare for NSW

The Organisation

eHealth NSW is revolutionising our public health system, driving a digital agenda for highest quality clinical care and enhanced patient experiences and outcomes. Since its inception in 2014, eHealth has evolved to meet patient needs across the state, guiding electronic health strategy, setting policy, and leading implementation.

With over 3,000 dedicated staff and key partnerships across local health districts and networks, eHealth NSW is committed to advancing ICT and digital capabilities statewide to support community health and wellness.

Working in alignment to the strategic priorities of NSW Health, the statewide eHealth strategy envisions a sustainable health system that delivers outcomes that matter to patients, is personalised, invests in wellness, and is digitally enabled. In particular, eHealth is increasing its focus on virtual care and telehealth, integration and interoperability, future proofing existing systems and architecture, resilience and cyber security, advancing real-time analytics, and empowering consumers, patients and staff to continue NSW Health’s digital journey, whilst ensuring alignment with state and local health strategies.

eHealth NSW also develops and maintains ICT policies and standards, leads the Health Cluster in digital initiatives, and oversees central cyber security functions in collaboration with Cyber Security NSW.

The Opportunity

Crucially, this includes enhancing relationships with key stakeholders to improve integration of eHealth NSW within the broader health system and overseeing development and implementation of a new agency strategy to guide eHealth NSW to remain adaptive and forward-thinking.

The role also operates as the Chief Information Officer for NSW Health, where you will set ICT policies, standards, and architectures, ensuring a reliable, secure, clinician-friendly, and patient-centered environment. Additionally, representing NSW Health in all-of-government ICT and digital initiatives, you will ensure effective data management and analytics, robust cybersecurity, and the integration of emerging technologies for innovative, cost-effective solutions. Ultimately, you will enhance NSW Health’s ICT capabilities and support its mission to deliver patient-centered health experiences.
