What you bring to the table

Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing first-level technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related systems and processes within the Club. Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Support: Provide first-level support to users for IT-related issues, troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • System Maintenance: Install, deploy, and configure computer systems, software, and hardware; ensure backup processes are followed and maintained; and perform assigned system maintenance tasks. 
  • IT Operations: Assist in the development and testing of new technologies, support IT projects such as network upgrades and hardware deployments, and provide IT support on game days, including match day responsibilities. 
  • Asset and Process Management: Manage and track IT assets, create and maintain IT processes and procedures, and facilitate preventative maintenance and system upgrades. 

What we're looking for 

We are seeking a candidate who brings: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an IT help desk or support role
  • Competency in Windows, MacOS, and server operating systems, applications and hardware
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN environments and network protocols
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 systems such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams & Entra
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work and travel for some interstate games
