Digital Media and Marketing Officer

 

The Digital Media and Marketing Officer is primarily responsible for writing, managing and maintaining Stadiums Queensland (SQ) website content. The role is also responsible for providing advice and training to venue teams regarding social media practices and content development. The position is required to develop, implement and evaluate marketing activities within the Commercial Team.

Key tasks:

  • Writing, managing and maintaining content on SQ venue and corporate websites to ensure accurate and up to date information is presented to the public.
  • Manage and update website content requests from venues.
  • Develop and implement a social media messaging and provide advice to venue teams in relation to social media practices and content creation.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns and ongoing activity across a broad range of marketing channels, with a key focus on digital and social media marketing.
  • Support SQ’s objectives to increase and improve patron usage of venue websites and social media channels.
  • Create and facilitate the development of video content for internal and external communications.
  • Develop reports on current and future digital trends and potential applications to improve SQ revenue streams.
  • Ensure venue brand guidelines are maintained and adhered to with respect to marketing collateral.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.

About you:

  • Formal qualification in relevant discipline (e.g. Digital Media, Communications or Marketing) or equivalent experience.
  • High work ethic, commitment to professional presentation and flexibility in the workplace and ethical practice.
  • Ability to produce high quality, accurate written content within tight timeframes
  • Well-developed digital and social media skills
  • High level knowledge of current marketing digital trends
  • High level attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed organisational and work scheduling skills
  • Well-developed knowledge and experience in the use of computer applications and systems 
  • High work ethic, commitment to professional presentation and flexibility in the workplace and ethical practice.

SQ is charged with the management of major sports facilities that are declared under Queensland Government regulation as being venues having the capacity to stage national or international sports events, recreational or entertainment experiences.
