The Role

The Project Manager will work under the primary direction of the Commonwealth Project Representative and shall provide project management support services to the Commonwealth through the following tasks:

• Project and Contract management;
• Planning, scheduling, and estimating of work/tasks
• Preparation of project documentation and project delivery reviews with industry subject matter experts;
• Review and assessment of contractor project management deliverables;
• Providing advice on the application of project management methodologies using Agile methodology;
• Preparing risk management plans and documentation, conducting risk management workshops with stakeholders, identifying and tracking major risks and issues, and developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies;
• Providing specialist project management assistance to executives, managers, staff, and project teams.

Essential criteria:

• Project management knowledge, skills and experience in ICT projects, preferably software projects;
• Experience working with, and integrating software into, ICT systems and networks;
• Experience using an Agile methodology in project management; and
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).

Desirable criteria:

• Systems engineering knowledge and experience in ICT projects, preferably software projects.
